About Lucky
Lowman began his distinguished career in the United States Air Force in 1943 during World War II, flying more than 52 combat missions over Germany in the P-51 Mustang. His service spanned over 30 years, including time in Vietnam where he piloted the F-104 Starfighter at the age of 49, and held roles as a flight leader and commanding officer while earning numerous military honors. After retiring, he continued to inspire others as a teaching golf professional and active community member in Calaveras County, where he settled in 1979. Originally from Lincoln, Illinois, Lowman developed his love of golf in high school, a passion that remained central throughout his life.
